Dried yeast and soy sauce

Hi Rachel What soy sauces are okay please? And is there msg in that dried bakers yeast? Ta Sherry

Hi Sherry, I am not a fan of any soy sauces, soy itself has a very high amount of free glutamic acid and once this is processed it forms even more. I know in the traditional Asian diet they ferment it for years, but they still know its highly toxic and only consume it in small amounts. Hence why I use dripping and onions to give our food lots of flavour. Again dried bakers yeast has damaged the proteins, hence forming synthetic free glutamic acid. We stick to FRESH compressed yeast, this only has a refrigerated shelf life of 2 to 3 weeks, hence why they invented the dried yeasts, which obviously is better for shelf life. Cheers Rachel
