Wholemeal Bread with yeast
- About 5 C warm water
- 3 T Raw organic sugar (pref)
- 3 level T fresh compressed yeast (ask your local baker)
Put in bowl, stir well and set aside to set.
- 8 C Organic Wholemeal flour (pref)
- 2 leveltsp sea salt
Make well in centre of flour/salt and pour in yeast liquid, knead well, put onto floured board and shape into loaves.
Put into greased tins and set aside to rise. Cover with folded tea towel (takes approx 1/2 hr to 1 hr) to rise. Put in hot oven for 30 to 40 mins all depends on individual ovens.
You can always add more flour if mixture is too wet as you are kneading it.
