I am one of those people who`d tried everything and am considered obese. After meeting Rachel at Band Fit classes and hearing about the course I thought well I have nothing to lose, I have tried everything else, and so may as well give this a try.
When I started the course I`d been on a yo-yo cycle of dieting for the last 25 years including a stomach stapling 17 years ago.
I was suffering from depression, mood swings, I hated myself (and had for as long as I could remember) didn`t manage stress well, had an insatiable appetite, nausea, indigestion, no energy, slept badly, suffered from lower back pain and was either constipated or had diarrhea - there had been a number of times I actually wasn`t sure life was worth living!
I`d been to different doctors, counsellors etc over the last couple of years to find out what was wrong with me, and basically the only answer seemed to be "it was all in my head" or maybe IBS. I ended up on antidepressants and medication for indigestion.
Since adopting the Lifestyle Commitment principles I am content, handle stress much better. I have more energy, no back pain, am regular with no nausea, little indigestion and best of all I have a normal appetite.
Family and friends have noticed a huge difference in me; my motivation wasn`t weight loss rather gaining a healthier lifestyle, however an added bonus to all of the above all my clothes are getting looser and best of all I am off all medication.
I am now converted to the Lifestyle Commitment and believe very strongly that my yo-yo dieting through the pass 25 years was making me sick both physically and mentally and is the underlying reason I suffer from obesity.
I now believe my body will find its natural weight following the course and for the first time in my life I go to sleep and wake up content, my life is great and I think I am ok!
